I haven’t had much opportunity to go to the Sheep Ranch this
week and I feel kind bad about that, however I’ve had a busy week and the
nights I haven’t gone out I’ve taken the opportunity to catch up on my sleep a
little.
This is going to be just a rambling post, I am going to post
some random pictures that I’ve collected lately and that is pretty much it.
The first picture is compliments of Donna Ruthruff, Gloria’s
cousin. She and her husband Jim live in the mountains overlooking Tucson Arizona.
Donna has an amazing gift and I love her pictures and stories as she loves to “live”
with zeal and the adventures she and Jim share are most enjoyable. I am so grateful for the times when we have
been able to share some adventures with them and look forward to more in the
future.
I haven’t introduced you to Poppy yet, Poppy came to us from
the SPCA in Calgary last fall. She’s very affectionate and inquisitive and very
quickly made her way deep into our hearts. Unlike her predecessor Tigger, I am
not allergic to her so enjoy the fact she’s very friendly and likes long
cuddles. This is a picture of her sitting on the top of the kitchen cupboards
watching Gloria as Gloria was packing for our move to the Sheep Ranch.
This picture is of the “Dragon” doing its part in helping us
block off an escape route as we moved sheep from one area of the yard to
another.
Once again this past weekend I was the recipient of an
amazing super with Bob and Joyce. This was a burger accompanied by some awesome
treats from the garden. I should have taken a picture of the strawberries and
ice cream for dessert; however it was so good I ate it before I thought of the
picture.
Every month at work they have a contest; if we do a “random
act of kindness” or go above and beyond for someone then our name gets entered
in a monthly draw for a prize. I had gotten acknowledged last month for a
couple of instances and at the end of the month was very surprised to win! The
following is the bike I won.
This week I had to make a quick trip to Jasper, Alberta. The
following are some pictures taken on the trip. It was especially pleasant to be
able to have lunch with my Auntie along the way. It was rainy and cool most of
the day which also made it a little more pleasant than the extreme heat we have
had of late.
The following picture was taken just outside Jasper, there is a large herd of elk that seem to live on the highway. We all had to stop and take a look, I took a picture of the people taking pictures!
This picture is of my Auntie in her new truck.
The following is a collection of random pictures:
The forgoing was a "Stampede" breakfast I enjoyed last week.
The following was a picture of a truck I passed this week which had very little clearance.
The following picture was shared by Gloria's cousin on Facebook and I thought it was too funny so decided to share it again.
Well that's it for this time, I have a few things to wrap up here and I am off for the weekend. Where ever this weekend finds you I hope you have a good one.
I loved this post. Thank you so much for sharing your week. Congratulations on the new bike. THAT IS AWESOME! What a wonderful return on a good deed.
ReplyDeleteSorry I didn't get my monsoon post done last night. When I downloaded some of my photos they got lost amongst the 17000 photos that are on my computer and I can't find them. I gave up last night so I may try again tonight. Good news....I think I won the battle last night against the frogs. Jim will be so happy when he gets back if I can actually get rid of them. Today, I'm painting some stuff.
Have a wonderful day whatever you are doing. Life is a gift ;-)
I responded to this once but it seems to have gone missing. I will try again. I saw the "monsoon" post and appreciated it. Thanks for commenting. I look forward to future posts regarding the battle of the "frogs".
ReplyDeleteOur pests would seem to be a massive amount of flies and maybe the occasional mouse.
